Victor F Huff was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1920. He signed with Pueblo of the Western League in 1941 and played just seven games before being called into military service on September 25.

 

Lieutenant Hoff earned the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal with three bronze oak leaf clusters while serving in Europe. By mid-1945 he was back in the United States and stationed at Scott Field, Illinois, as assistant air inspector.Minor League Baseball

 

Hoff did not return to baseball after the war.
