Bob Price

In 1939 he had an outstanding year with the Salt Lake City Bees of the Class C Pioneer League, batting .346 with 38 doubles and 10 home runs in 106 games. Staying in the same league, he played for the Ogden Reds and Boise Pilots in 1940 but batted a dissapointing .211. He began the 1941 campaign with the Boise club before joining the Salina Millers of the Western Association. Price failed to hit in that league and moved to the Clarksdale Tigers of the Cotton States League where he batted .263 in 55 games.

Price was in military service the following year and served with the Navy in the Pacific. He was lost at sea in January 1945. His body was never recovered.
